鈥淢y dream is to design hotels around the world, creating memorable and welcoming spaces for people from all walks of life,鈥 she said.

With passions for both interior design and landscape architecture, Novello hopes to work at a multidisciplinary firm that allows her to explore both areas.

鈥淚 aim to bridge the gap between interior and exterior environments, creating holistic spaces that are not only functional and aesthetically compelling but also rooted in human well-being,鈥 she said. 鈥淏y thoughtfully connecting interior and exterior design, I hope to enhance the everyday experiences of those who use these spaces.鈥

After finishing her undergraduate studies in interior design and psychology, Sutherland plans to pursue dual master鈥檚 degrees in environmental psychology and sustainable design.

鈥淢y ultimate goal is to work at the intersection of research, policy and practice,鈥 she said. 鈥淚 hope to lead initiatives that promote universal design and evidence-based architecture, creating spaces that are not only beautiful but functional, inclusive and resilient.鈥

The scholarship recipients are invited to attend the 鈥淔riday Night Fever Fundraiser鈥 on Oct. 10 in Orlando and receive two years of associate membership after graduation.
